Can someone explain what my son saw?

My DS (14) and his friends went for a walk deep in the woods yesterday. They came across four people standing in a circle with candles and markings on the ground. Two were dressed in all black, very smart, like priests. The other two were in normal clothes and were bleeding from their arms. My son said he saw them cut themselves, they were mumbling something inaudible while the two in all black held their arms in the air and chanted. When they realised they were being watched one of the people in black told the boys they were going to cut their heads off if they don’t leave. I know it’s true because one of the kids filmed it and I’ve watched it. Wtf!?

All that turning bread into flesh and wine into blood - I don't know. Sounds like witchcraft to me ;)
Now that you mention it.... Grin

Farmers son was out fox hunting with his dad and friends on their own land. The son stumbled across some like this with a lot more people carrying out some ritual. Scared him badly. Those woods he found out were used in October every year by witchy types

sammyjoanne · 17/10/2021 22:21

If they are blood letting then it could be a number of rituals. Some go back to the Mayans, they could also be casting a spell or used to create bonds. And some can be satanic too. They fact they threatened the kids is a cause for the police.

Post of the year - possilby the decade. But smellyoldowls comes a close second with this:

Maybe they were whispering 'Oh my god Seamus Murphy would you look at those weirdos, what are they doing here in Ballybollen Forest? My mum Mary Glancy is going to go mad when I show her this video. I hope she doesn't ring my teacher in Larne High School.'

iklboo · 17/10/2021 22:26

Surely doing what you want and bringing about your own desires is a very unbalanced way to live. Not to mention selfish! As previously mentioned , if you engineer to get something, someone else might be adversely affected. That doesn’t seem ethically right to me.

Absolutely not. If you're a proper practitioner you should never do something to bring about your own desires. But, yet again, I'll draw the comparison with Christianity. Why is it ok to pray for a positive outcome to a situation, but not for me to ask the Earth Mother for protection? Some people seem to have been watching too much Hollywood.

@Ibelieveinghosts
Clearly you are making light of the horrific Satanic rape and murder perpetrated by that “Black Magic” gang in America.
Most people would find it abhorrent.
Especially the families of the raped, murdered and Tortured young women.
Ripper Gang.

The first thing I've properly laughed at for ages. Thank you!!

Each to their own if they want to do rituals I suppose... but threatening to cut their heads of is rather uncalled for! Scary

iklboo · 17/10/2021 22:38

Hands - I know you haven't. But you have called my religion selfish & unbalanced. Which it isn't in any way.

Looks like a pagan ritual from what I can tell, with All Hallows' Eve coming up not surprising to see this kind of thing, could be Wiccan could be Satanic.
Hopefully it's Wiccan as usually that will be a positive ritual for health, spirituality, nature & that sort of thing.
Hard to know without knowing what they were chanting.
The threat of cutting the childrens heads off is awful and glad you reported that too 101.

EmKayEm · 17/10/2021 22:58

Some TikTok nonsense probably.

I mean in response to the OP could be anything.

However I have also enjoyed the theological discussions on this thread.

I've seen similar in the New Forest but didn't get close enough to see any blood, I just carried on walking the dog and pretended I hadn't seen them!

@me4real

It's a black magic ritual by the sounds of it, blood letting is warned against with white magic, so they are up to no good whether you believe in it or not. I'd be wary of my kids being alone in woods with anyone of the mentality to want to perform black magic rituals. You don't have to believe in it to know that makes those people pretty twisted

@RockinHorseShit This is quite offensive. I'm sure some 'white witches' do sometimes use blood, and in decades of involvement in the occult scene I've never heard anyone warn against it.

What I have heard people suggest (and I sometimes do myself) is to use a diabetic lancet and just get a drop of blood. That way you aren't at risk of harm particularly, if that's what you mean by people warning against it.

Black and white magic is pretty much a false dichotomy, most white witches do all sorts of spells.

Someone doesn't have to be a twisted and evil person to practice left-hand-path spirituality- that's quite insulting. I can't imagine you'd think it ok to say stuff like that about people from other religions.

@Mummyoflittledragon I got into it because I heard about it and thought it as weird as hell. Like 'How could anyone want to worship Satan?' Intellectual curiosity drove me to learn more about it and then I eventually got into it.

Some people just 'become' one by prayers, a personal relationship with Satan I suppose, but most people do an initiation ritual (usually by themselves as there aren't many groups in most areas.)

The initiation ritual would tend to involve utterly renouncing YHVH god, (who we think is actually evil- it's not necessariily that we are choosing to worship evil, more often it's that we think the bible is propaganda for Yahweh, and Satan and his demons are lovely, just misunderstood.)

Then the person would pledge allegiance to Satan. This may involve signing their name in blood (I would actually use a normal pen, then just dab/squeeze a drop of blood after using a lancet, onto where I've signed.)

Diane Vera has a lot of stuff on her website, but has altered what's there maybe. theisticsatanism.com/rituals/pact/pact-init.html#oath There's also an organization called the Joy of Satan, who are dodgy but have a lot of info about ritual etc on their site.

Anythig else you'd like to ask? x

Thanks. This is fascinating. I’ll read it tomorrow as it’s too small without my glasses and I’m in bed now….
