Help me think of this 2010s sci-fi series?

Talking with DH about sci-fi series we had watched, and one popped in my head from around 2010ish that he can’t recall at all, I only remember small details. Googling didn’t help!

I think it was a UK & Canadian production, there was a crew in training and one of the men was unwell, leading one of the women to call him “sick bucket”. He had a picture of a bucket tattooed on his foot - I think because he secretly loved her?

There was also something about Saturn and I can remember the crew standing in a chamber surrounded by light that was something extra terrestrial.

It was cancelled after one season (so obviously not brilliant TV!)

I apologise for the incredibly vague description - can any one help!

Dark Matter? If I'm wrong try searching IMDb for sc fi shows made in Canada then Google the titles "title characters" and the Wikipedia should come up to read about plot lines and characters. Good luck. You might get lucky and poster images will ring some bells.

Defying Gravity? It starred the guy who played Berger in Sex and the City. I liked it, was disappointed it was only one series.
