i am furious other grandma to my grandson came and dropped him off he is 4 years old ,and told me she had smacked his bottom,i said we dont do that to a child,and as i walked past i said it is very wrong to which she replied i had permissionn from his daddy. i know for a fact that she and her husband smacked all their own children ,but i am not going to allow anyone to smack my grandson.we and his parents have taught him hands are not for hitting,and he gets time out . i actually wanted to revert to violence myself and smack her just to see how she felt with someone hitting her,but i couldnt even say too much because little grandson was there so had to bite my tongue . mum has been informed and hope that she puts a stop to this woman touching our grandson. i despise people who think that the only way they can control a child is by hitting them,

You're right to be angered. It's definitely not okay. Tell her you'll inform the police next time and social services.

I'd ring her when grandson isn't around and say to her, we don't like violence in our family, we are taught to deal with things differently, but for you I will make an exception, if you put your hands on my grandson again, I will wring your neck. X
