DH and I would like to take the kids away at Christmas this year. Specifically over Christmas day, we think. Our families are incredibly hard work and we just fancy doing something a bit different.
Anyone done this and can anyone recommend anything? Budget probably 3.5k absolute maximum. Not hugely keen on spending 2/3k on a UK break, but would if it came highly recommend. Kids are 4&7 so we want things they can do and will enjoy, that's probably the priority.
For reference we see our families loads so wouldn't be taking the kids away from any big family's gatherings.
