My partners job involves going into peoples homes or in any building.

He has been sent to someones house to finish a job and while he is there he is told not to go in a certain room because the person in there has covid.

My partner wasnt imformed before hand by his boss.also if he had to isolate they only pay statutory sick pay.

Are they allowed to do this!?!

assuming he is doubled jabbed and kept his distance?

Strangevipers · 16/10/2021 12:21

Depends what his job is ?

Did his boss know ?

Was it essential he go there ?

Lindy2 · 16/10/2021 12:26

If someone is isolating with Covid I don't think anyone other than a household member should enter that house.

I'm not sure of the legal position but I wouldn't want to go in there - double jabbed or not. They should have waited for the 10 days.

They should have waited for the 10 days.

Depends on the job, surely? Repairing the tv could wait. Repair to the toilet couldn't wait, repair to heating/hot water system possibly couldn't.
