Anyone else's Ring camera got blocked out areas?

I'm assuming this is since the overlooking/privacy court case.

We have cameras and the blocking on the left hand side of the screenshot below is definitely new. It's been applied historically too.

I don't have any issue with it, it doesn't affect out security. And the window it's blocking out over next door always have blinds down (our similar window is obscured glass), so there never was any overlooking anyway.

Just wondering if anyone else is affected?

Nope all normal here and our camera does look out into the road so you can see other houses opposite

How odd ! Our ring doorbell hasnt changed... I must admit I did worry a bit reading the recent court findings as ours covers across the roads drive and front door. However our neighbour is aware and is actually pleased to have the extra security.

All normal here!

The black squares are Privacy Zones, you can add these in the camera’s settings to block out certain parts of the picture to give neighbours privacy. It’s likely that someone with access to your camera’s settings has added them, I’m not sure they can be added remotely by Ring (they would have had to scan every camera for things that look like a window or door, seems unlikely..?).

We had blacked out areas that covered our neighbours house, but when we told them this they asked us not to so they can utilise our cameras on their drive too, so we removed them.
I have just double checked our cameras and nothing blacked out currently.
