Kitchen Question - Drawer Fridges

Does anyone have a drawer fridge? Or an undercounter fridge where the shelves slide out?

My ma and dad are doing up their kitchen and I'm trying to help them "future proof" for when they are older and less agile. I thought maybe being able to see with more ease what was in the fridge might help. I did a google and the prices were over £1200. Is that right enough? Is that what a drawer fridge will cost?

Not sure about a drawer fridge, but my parents really regretted getting an under counter fridge. They had a full length fridge freezer previously, with the fridge on top, then went to having both side by side under counter. They use the fridge much more than the freezer, and my dad in particular struggles bending down to it. Would a higher up fridge be an option?

I've had a Hotpoint drawer fridge for a few years now and I love it! Nothing gets pushed to the back and forgotten and you can see exactly what you've got.

It was expensive, and it needed decor panels which you could buy, but DH made them from MDF and painted them to match our units.

We only had under counter space so we took out a set of wine rack cubbies which were clearly filler anyway to make space. No going back!

It's because they don't have a lot of worktop space in the kitchen that they are looking at undercounter fridges. I will have a look at Hotpoint.

I have a drawer fridge, and I do like it. No idea what it cost (was put in as part of huge build project).

There is a lot of bending down for stuff in the bottom drawer, though, so make sure mobility isn’t an issue.

DM has a drawer fridge. I have no idea of the price but it works very well for her (and my father when he was alive) as nothing gets forgotten (like in my fridge ).

I have a combined fridge freezer with normal fridge and freezer drawers. Love it so much. Trays on top for lollies and ice cubes and then deep drawers for frozen things.
