I’m hearing about David Amess and what a lovely man he was. His beliefs don’t necessarily ring with mine. He did appear to be a good person though, dedicated to his constituency and just seems so opposite to the career politicians who seem determined to clamber over anyone to get to the top. Why don’t the good ones get to run the country?

Bump - I’m not angling for a fight, genuinely interested.

I know people of differing political persuasions and they are devastated. Good guy, worked hard for his constituents. No one should die for their job.

I don’t think people realise how vulnerable our MPs are in their surgeries. Having said that, I’d hate to see barriers that prevent or deter constituents from seeing their elected representative.
