Is it safe to assume I've not got an interview?

I applied for a job I'd really like - it closed at the end of last Sunday. I've not heard anything this week.

Do you think that's likely to mean I've not been shortlisted for interview?

Feel a bit gutted, more so than other times I've not heard anything!

Two weeks I’d give it

I'm such an inpatient waiter....

Did they put the interview dates on the advert? I also think it depends on what sort of business you’ve applied for, in my experience a larger employer such as a county council gets back to people quicker, whereas smaller businesses could be longer.

Meant to add I don’t think I’d give up hope yet and good luck!

Thank you! No interview date on the advert unfortunately - it's a job in a school.

Sorry but I would say you definitely don’t have an interview. Schools don’t hang around as all the checks etc take ages after interview and offers.

Thanks @Pencilandpaper - appreciate your honesty! It's what I was thinking was most likely the case Sad

You can't possibly tell. I'd give it a few weeks at least. Some places take their time to get it right.
