It's currently white & pale grey. I want to make it seem slightly warmer but keeping quite a light colour.
I've got a grey velvet bed which I'm keeping and white wardrobes so need what ever colour to match those.

Suggestions and ideas please as I'm struggling.

All I need is to decorate 3 walls in a colour (1 wall is built in wardrobes). Grey bed and white duvet so I just want a walllpaper colour then a matching throw and cushions. Help please!!

do you need cheering up or calming down as you can achieve this through colour. (yellow tones are cheering, blue calming. )

Blush pink. I know it's done to death but it really suits grey and white IMO.

We have walls in a dusky mauve pink, dark grey curtains and headboard and white bedding. I find it very calming dh doesn't give a shit!

Pretty much any colour would work. Maybe yellow or pink? Both very easy and pleasant bedroom colours

How about Little Greene’s Portland Stone? It’s what I’m about to do my bedroom in.

It’s a neutral colour and looks good against white. I’ll be accessorising with “warm” colour bedding and curtains for autumn/winter and bright/fresh colours for spring summer.

Tranquil Dawn, by Dulux.

I did think about a pink colour but don't want it to be too girly.

@Furries It needs to be a wallpaper rather than paint as our walls aren't great but I like the idea of a stone colour to warm it up.

I get really scared of colour if it's anything other than grey or white. I'm clueless about how to put things together!

Sulking Room Pink

Teesdale2622 · 15/10/2021 16:43

Soft stone, dulux

gardeninggirl68 · 15/10/2021 16:45

pink doesn't have to be 'girly' though

lots of lovely shades to choose from

Bellateabea · 15/10/2021 16:52

We have a sort of sky blue. It's light but not bright, and very calming. We have timber and white furniture and white bedlinen and a grey blanket. I love it

Hogu · 15/10/2021 17:04

Yes it's probably a toss up between a stone / natural / gold tones or a pink.

I'd like to paper 1 wall but then have the problem of what to paint the other 2 walls

@Hogu - sorry, I missed the part re wallpaper!

Little Greene do wallpaper too. All of their options, if you click on them, advise what colour paints coordinate with the paper - which could help you decide on what to paint the other two walls with.

Their paints aren’t cheap, but the quality is fantastic. Real depth of pigmentation and the paint goes a long way. I don’t have wallpaper (old cottage, not a straight wall anywhere!), but I’d imagine the quality to be good. I think you can book a phone/video consultation with them too. Might be helpful if you’re not sure re how to bring a room together.

Dulux gentle fawn

puddlebubble · 15/10/2021 21:08

what colour is the flooring/carpet?

Hogu · 15/10/2021 22:12

Carpet is a light cream

Ah I don't know, I'm so useless at putting things together and working out if it will go. I usually balls it up then hate what I've done!

Would you consider painting the 2 walls white and then just using colour on the wall where the bed headboard is? If you are uncomfortable with colour, this is the easiest option and then you can choose anything, because it won't overwhelm the room. And if you want to change, it's only one wall. You have cream white and grey already, all very neutral colours. If you don't want to go too dark and still warm, how about a medium purple? Or pistachio? I think if it is limited to one wall you could go for any colour you like (bar browns or blush pink which will look anaemic with all the other neutrals).

If you google and image search for eg. 'grey, white, cream and purple colour palette' and you will get some palettes to show you what accessories will fit and other colours that will help.

Graphista · 15/10/2021 23:05

A pale lemon yellow could work well, bit out of left field but will still work - mint green - both refreshing and soothing and works with grey and white

PesosBandage · 15/10/2021 23:14

At risk of sounding really 80s, I'd consider peach/ apricot tones. Probably dusky personally, but depends how calming or how vibrant you want.

Can be very subtle, or quite a statement.
