Lost ring in London - can you help me find it?

Ok, massive long shot but I lost a ring this evening (Thursday 14th) somewhere between the Crypt cafe and the Savoy theatre.

It's not valuable but it's sentimentally precious and I would be forever grateful to have it back - so thought I'd try and harness the power of MN.

It's a textured silver spinner ring, similar to photo but more texture in mine.

I checked around me in theatre and will speak to both them and the cafe in the morning but on the tiny off chance one of you lovely lot was in London and happened to pick it up...

I hope it finds it's way back to you by some miracle, op.
Really, though? How could anyone on Mumsnet possibly help?!

SylvanasWindrunner · 15/10/2021 21:05

The TLDR of that thread is someone lost their ring and a MNer found it Grin

That's a fake thread
SylvanasWindrunner · 15/10/2021 21:11

Maybe, maybe not. MN looked into it and said it all looked above board.

RusholmeRuffian · 15/10/2021 21:11

Try TfL lost property just in case someone handed it in to a Tube station

I remember a thread years ago, I think it was an engagement ring lost in London. MNers found it and got it back to her.
Sparklfairy · 15/10/2021 21:28

x post!

Zarene · 15/10/2021 21:30

I’ll be walking roughly that route tomorrow OP and will keep an eye out 🤞

hilariousnamehere · 15/10/2021 23:23

You guys are amazing! Haha there have been some actual miracles worked with lost things finding their way back to people in my internet life so I figured it was worth a try Grin and the thread linked to above is going with my morning cuppa for inspiration!

Thank you @Zarene, and @RusholmeRuffian that's a good point, I'll call them tomorrow.

One final Sunday night bump with everything crossed just in case someone's seen it!

Isn’t there an app for lost things? Be helpful if I could remember the name…. Twitter #lostinlondon ?

AnaViaSalamanca · 17/10/2021 19:41

@hilariousnamehere try the app “nextdoor”. It’s for general neighborhood community stuff, but people definitely post found stuff over there. That’s how I found my lost keys too

Good luck!

SpindelWhorl · 17/10/2021 19:45

I have handed in all sorts of things to the police (and club DJs!), including jewellery. These days I'd put it on local social media.

So bumping, and good luck OP.

SpindelWhorl · 17/10/2021 19:46

Oh yes - try NextDoor. It's hilarious but can be useful.

hilariousnamehere · 17/10/2021 22:51

Oh, thank you! I will go (online) hunting. I know it's the tiniest chance but worth a try - and I'll come back and update if I do find it. Really appreciate all the suggestions Smile
