Which night is better for a takeaway

First world problem/decision:

Having a takeaway as a treat tomorrow having been dieting for a little while. It's either going to be tomorrow night or Saturday. Which is the better of the two to indulge??

I'm also contemplating chicken pakora with garlic sauce (normally have a spicy sauce to dip) hoping I don't regret it Grin

Saturday.

Rainbowqueeen · 14/10/2021 21:10

Saturday
Everyone else is getting it on Friday so it takes longer

hilbil21 · 14/10/2021 21:11

See I was thinking the delivery time might be less on a Friday. But there's better tv to watch while eating it on a Saturday. It's a toughie lol Wink

Oddly, we always do a Thursday night. We have "end of the week-itis" and cannot be arsed to do anything. Cook, clean etc

Chinese takeaway, wine, a movie. We never sleep too great on a takeaway and Saturday and sunday mornings are our lie in days, so we get excellent weekend sleep undisturbed by MSG or whatever the hell else is in the takeaway.

Friday foggy head is manageable at work.

grafittiartist · 14/10/2021 21:14

Friday- then the left overs on Saturday ( if there are any).

SheWoreYellow · 14/10/2021 21:15

Saturday, because then you have Friday to look forward to it. I also feel sad on Saturday night if we’ve had ours on Friday.

I might tend toward the overthinking though Grin

SheWoreYellow · 14/10/2021 21:15

*always. I always feel sad

Friday is takeaway night to me but if I was dieting hold out to Sat

coodawoodashooda · 14/10/2021 21:16

Definitely Friday

MrsMcCluskeysCat · 14/10/2021 21:18

Friday as saves cooking after work, we still have a nice meal on a Saturday (like steak and chips) but I don't mind cooking it then as I've had all day to sort it.

AnneElliott · 14/10/2021 21:24

Friday - and the leftovers are eaten Saturday lunchtime.

hilbil21 · 14/10/2021 21:24

@SheWoreYellow I'm a completely overthinker and husband is away working so not even got anyone to discuss it with here as my 6 year old just says Friday because it's tomorrow lol.

I always go for Thursday or even Wednesday! The foods at its freshest and I think the quality drops on the busy days- esp as it gets later and they can predict customers will have had wine etc.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 14/10/2021 21:44

I usually have one on Fridays, I finish work at 1 on a Friday and it's nice to come home early and have a few drinks and a takeaway later.

InTheNightWeWillWish · 14/10/2021 21:50

I quite like a Monday for a takeaway, especially a curry!

Friday and Saturday they make the curries hotter than the other days, so what I would usually pick is too hot on a Friday and Saturday. Monday is much tamer and I can have a chicken dhansak without it blowing my head off. If I order a dhansak, I won’t eat a full curry so I save half for my lunch the next day. Tuesday curry leftover lunch feels really good especially as Tuesdays are always rubbish.

hilbil21 · 14/10/2021 21:53

For some reason only weekend nights feel like a treat for me. I must admit I tend to eat most of my takeaways on a Sunday when I have a hangover Grin

We have fish and chips on a Friday but any other take away on a Saturday.
