Infected gall bladder hand hold?

I've had extreme pain for weeks now but it got so much worse last week. When I eat or drink it's agony, the pain is always there now and then worse when I eat or drink. My gp sent me for a ct scan last week not sure on the results yet. She called me back into surgery today to keep an eye on me and she's convinced it's my gall bladder that's infected. She took bloods and gave me a really strong course of antibiotics with strict instructions to go to hospital if I feel any worse. I've got a temperature of 38.7 as of now so I'm going to take some more paracetamol but oh my word this is so awful.

I'm covered in bruises from the cannulation attempts during the ct scan last week!

I found some funny cartoons though that have made me laugh.

Has anyone else had constant pain and easy bruising with gall bladder issues?

I'm not a doctor, but you're in terrible pain and you've got a fever...I think you probably need to be in hospital and that gallbladder probably needs to come out😬

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon. If you don't see a difference you probably need them intravenous. Make sure you're well hydrated and the area the cannula is going is warmed up.

Also struggling with a gallbladder infection here!
I've cut all fat from my diet, which has helped but still in pain and discomfort all day every day. Had the blood tests and the antibiotics but I'm still awaiting an urgent scan a week later!

However my fever has gone and my pain is bearable, yours does sound like you need to go to hospital to be honest, or at least contact your GP again first thing.

Thank you. I think I am going to give it til the morning. Or at least until my bloods are back. I feel like I have the flu but that could be the covid booster I had on Tuesday 🤦‍♀️

If you feel any worse then do go to A and E. An infected gall bladder could give you sepsis.

I know it's a while back but hope you're ok now and managed to get to the bottom of it all. I feel similar atm, dreadful. Hoping for a scan soon, probably private. Been to a & e twice in past few weeks, just sent me home as pain wasn't as bad but symptoms getting worse. Can hardly eat and lost about 9 lb's. All the best x
