Sorry OP but this made me laugh! 😂😂😂

StealthPolarBear · 14/10/2021 18:51

Those foot-powered cars didnt exist either. Sorry :o

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 14/10/2021 18:51

The Flinstones is post-apocalyptic. Hence them cobbling together cars and record players and stuff.

Interesting fact: Fred and Wilma were the first couple to share a bed on television.

Woolly mammoths existed at the time of the great pyramids ...

MyDcAreMarvel · 14/10/2021 19:01

65 MILLION years ! It makes my head hurt well there wasn’t so no issue there.

Aposterhasnoname · 14/10/2021 19:05

@Tempusfudgeit

Woolly mammoths existed at the time of the great pyramids ...
And cleopatra lived during a period closer to the invention of the iPhone than the pyramids being built.

Not being funny but school much?
DickeryDock · 14/10/2021 19:06

The time separating Stegosaurus and T. rex is longer than the time separating T.Rex and humans! Now that blew my mind. Assumed they hung out together 🤣

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 14/10/2021 19:07

What's more of a head fuck for me is that the T-Rex lived closer in time to humans than it did the stegosaurus

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 14/10/2021 19:08

Snap @DickeryDock

OverweightPidgeon · 14/10/2021 19:19

@MrsTerryPratchett I really can’t remember covering this at school.

This is making me wonder about The Jetsons now, and if I have to wonder about The Jetsons maybe I also have to question other animated documentaries. Like Wiley Coyote - he really isn't that wiley is he? Why did they have to call the shop Acme instead of Amazon, why does Roadrunner always say meep meep?
You're rocking my world now OP with your "jokes" about 65 million years!🥺

Jaysmith71 · 14/10/2021 19:22

Wooly Mammoths may have been around in Siberia within the last few hundred years.

Also, The Palace of Westminster is around fifty years newer than the Capitol in Washington DC, and Tower Bridge is almost twenty years newer than the Brooklyn Bridge.

Jaysmith71 · 14/10/2021 19:22

....And the middle tower of the Palace of Westminster, the one that looks like a steeple, that is the chimney for the central heating system.

OverweightPidgeon · 14/10/2021 19:23

I do remember a reading scheme at school with a series of books featuring 2 cave children called Lok and Shan .

And Big Ben is the name of the bell. Not the tower or the clock.
toocold54 · 14/10/2021 19:33

I did know about the dinosaurs (science teacher) but I didn’t know about cleopatra or Fred and Wilma sharing a bed so I already love this thread!
Keep them coming!

ItsAlwaysThere · 14/10/2021 19:34

Say what now?

FlosCampi · 14/10/2021 19:41

Road runners actually make that meep meep noise! I saw it on a David Attenborough programme. Acme means the best, so the Coyote is upscaling from Amazon! @IAmTheLovechildOfYvesAndIsabel

custardbear · 14/10/2021 19:43

The first dinosaur fossil was found in the 1800's - which is probably why they weren't a feature in the bible

Auroreforet · 14/10/2021 19:47

Heroin was used for children’s coughs up until 1912!

Caramellatteplease · 14/10/2021 19:48

Why did they have to call the shop Acme instead of Amazon

The roadrunner cartoons are way earlier than the founding of amazon (which was just a book store)
