Books about winter/Christmas for an 11 yr old

He's a very good reader and we already have several (can't remember what off hand!) but I'm after a couple more books for his stocking... Any suggestions?

He especially loves fantasy/magic etc but will read almost anything!

I came to say the Dark is Rising too. Also the Box of Delights? Both beautifully written.

Thanks - we've got all of the Narnia, Dark Is Rising, and Green Knowe books already! Box Of Delights I don't think we do have, will go and look at that now

Oh how about The Snow Spider too, not exactly christmassy themed, but magic/fantasy abound.

And if you need non Xmas suggestions then Wolf Brother series is amazing, and The Lost Wild series. As is The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, plus all the further books of Didos adventures, and especially the prequel The Whispering Mountain.
