Outdoor, waterproof shoe storage?

Is there such a thing?

Teen DS has stinky feet. We've tried everything but his trainers and football boots smell of cat wee within a week he has a small room which always has a crack in the window open, but it now also stinks.

No porch or garage or anything like that so I'm thinking garden storage but can't find anything watertight that isn't a plastic ottoman. Does anyone have anything upright with shelves that is genuinely waterproof?

Putting trainers in plastic bags in the freezer is supposed to kill off the bacteria apparently, so the smell.I haven’t tested this.

It’s too big but we have a metal bike shed that is totally waterproof. Maybe see if you could find a metal storage box. I have a metal document box it could fit two pairs of shoes in it.

Suggest having a look at parcel lockers? As they would need to be waterproof and will be smaller than most outdoor storage.

Or get him foot deodorant…

Thank you.

How is this not an actual thing I can buy from Amazon though?

Evening Bump

Sorry it's so boring, but surely someone has something that would work?

I wonder is something like this in his bedroom would work.

It's not storage it's a room air filter. It can be left on constantly as it only uses 3 watts per hour at the slow rate to 7 watts at it's fastest.

Alternatively, I use this for garden storage and it keep everything very dry. I have some white shelves in mine and they are not getting damp. (It was only £100 when I bought it though)

If it’s totally watertight, won’t they just get stinkier - a sealed box of sweaty doom.
Some sort of kennel or hutch for shoes, maybe…

Now this is why I want a verandah at the front of my house, so I can leave shoes out there, in the proper Australian fashion.

Not entirely helpful, I know.
