Nursery etiquette lowdown

Ok, I’ve searched and the only thing that comes up on this topic is about gift giving, but what else do I need to know about nursery etiquette to avoid inadvertently pissing off the staff/ other parents?

Keep a calendar/diary to remember special days (e.g. bring in a X or dress in Y colour etc).

Arrive on time. Have an established pick up and drop off routine with your little one - not long and drawn out which will increase stress for all involved!

Always ensure your child has waterproof coat with hood on and weather suitable footwear. Full change of clothes including under wear and socks. If you end up with nursery clothes wash and return them.

Be polite to staff and encourage your child to be polite too.

As a nursery practitioner, please put their name in everything and you will be loved by all the staff!
