Best brunch in central London, preferably with a view?

Anyone been to the Brasserie of Light in Harvey Nicks? The brunch menu looks good but the TripAdvisor reviews are a bit worrying - rude and crap service!

Or any recommendations for a cool brunch venue with a view for our family, including two teens?

Thanks!

Skylon on southbank? Not been there for brunch but it has a cool view & vibe

NotAQueef · 13/10/2021 16:24

Skylon or Sea Containers on southbank both have great views along the river.
Haven't been for brunch but had lunch at Sky Gardens this weeks - fab views and nice vibe

NotAQueef · 13/10/2021 16:25

X post @confuseddotcom090 I've only had bottomless brunch at skylon but it was a great 4 hours ;-)

Ricekrispie22 · 13/10/2021 16:31

Duck and Waffle

OnTheNatureOfDaylight · 13/10/2021 16:32

I took my DD for her 18th last weekend to Duck and Waffle at Heron tower. That was good. Not cheap though. Very high up

thelastgoldeneagle · 13/10/2021 16:38

I've just looked at the Duck and Waffle menu and wasn't keen - looks very meaty. I was fancying a good selection of veggie and meaty brunches, plus waffles/pancakes...

We've booked the Sky Garden for cocktails later on!

Will look at Skylon, thank you.

Kupp in Paddington Basin is nice, with canalside location - scandi style food and nice ambience www.kupp-uk.com/

No view as such, but 8 of us recently had an excellent brunch at Cote Brasserie, by the Royal Festival Hall. Loads of choice, all very nice, and very reasonable.

thelastgoldeneagle · 13/10/2021 17:26

The Cote doesn't have any brunch items? All lunch items instead?

OP posts:
GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/10/2021 17:34

Plenty of brunch items, @thelastgoldeneagle! All sorts. Washed down in my case with plenty of Buck’s Fizz.

JorisBonson · 13/10/2021 17:35

Garden Rooftop near Trafalgar Square is excellent.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/10/2021 17:38

PS @thelastgoldeneagle, you can see the brunch menu if you google Cote Brasserie Festival Hall.,

haba · 13/10/2021 17:52

Do any of these places have gluten/fairy free options?

haba · 13/10/2021 17:52

*dairy free, sorry!
They're probably mainly fairy free, I'm sure Grin

thelastgoldeneagle · 13/10/2021 17:57

Doh, @GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER , I was on the a la carte. You're right - the brunch menu looks great.

How busy was it? Any outdoor space?

Coppa Club (near the Tower of London) in one of their pods, with lovely views of the Thames

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/10/2021 19:24

We sat outside, @thelastgoldeneagle, there were quite a few outside tables. At the time you couldn’t have more than 6 at a table inside, so they very obligingly moved some outside tables together for us.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/10/2021 19:28

It was pretty busy but we had booked.

It had to be somewhere close to Waterloo, since one of the party had to catch a train to the SW Coast soon after the meal.

milian · 13/10/2021 19:29

No view, but the best brunch in London is Dishoom (best option for a table in my experience is the one on Carnaby St).

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 13/10/2021 19:29

That was for @thelastgoldeneagle.

thelastgoldeneagle · 14/10/2021 13:35

Oh, I've seen good reviews of Dishoom, thank you!
