Just looking for some feedback from anyone who has had this or similar op (timpanoplasty?). My dd who is 15 is due to have a myringoplasty op to repair her eardrum in a few weeks. Hospital has given only a fact sheet for info which makes it hard to plan. It says she should be off school for 7-10 days and no exercise/sport for about a month, should be seen by hospital 2-3 weeks after op.
So - will she be able to do school work at home during those 10 days do you think? I mean, will she feel up to it? She's in y11 and has mocks a couple of weeks later. Will she be able to walk round their very hilly (terraced) school site after that (is this exercise?).
Also, we're due to go to a family wedding at the 10 day point - is she likely to be up to that (no dancing obviously, but the noise and bustle and disco music?).
Thanks for any insights!
