Just that really. Any ideas? I received some bad and upsetting news this morning and I need to distract my mind rather than sitting here dwelling on it otherwise I’ll go insane.

Guided meditations/relaxations on YouTube can be good for this - hope you find something to help you cope. Flowers

Sorry to hear this, hope you're ok.
I tend to read. Getting my head into a good book is a good distraction.

Books
Killer su doku
A particular game on my phone called Woody 99 which is about moving blocks into the right positions but with no timer stress, gives me something else to think about but can stop part way through the game if I have to do something or DC need something

Exercise. Even just doing a yoga or bodyweight barre video on youtube in the front room. It's the only thing that will edge the thoughts out of my head, and it gives you some level of endorphins afterwards.

My MIL is a runner having taken it up in her 40s in the midst of her marriage falling apart, she calls it "mindfulness on legs" for the same reason and it was the only thing that was even worse than divorce!

I'm so sorry about your news Flowers hope you're ok.
