Buying bone broth

I would like to start buying this and drinking it but there seems to be lots of choice so I just wondered if anybody was using this and had a recommendation.

Also, I know I can make it. But I tried and it was a disaster. I ended up with about 100ml. Thank you!

It’s easy peasy in an Instant Pot - you’ll get 3L for about £7 spent on chicken wings etc. Takes 3 hours, you put it on and leave or abs 3 hours later you’re done.

Way, way cheaper than from the shops ans you they do finesse what you put in.

I get mine from Combe farm organic.

I do mine in the slow cooker. Really easy. Even the kids drink it.

Noapplejustcrumble · 13/10/2021 22:33

How do you do it in the slow cooker?

semideponent · 13/10/2021 22:38

I get bones in my Riverford order, put them in the oven for a bit (e.g. when baking potatoes anyway). Then roasted bones into slow cooker plus quartered onion, roughly chopped stick of celery and carrot, peppercorns, maybe bayleaf, and, crucially, an acid (either a halved lemon or apple cider vinegar). Then slow cook anywhere between 12 and 24 hours.

Why?

VinoBianca · 14/10/2021 06:42

I do have a slow cooker that I have used once because it didn't work and that's put me off doing it! Maybe I should get me some bones and try again
