Any recommendations around the cheaper end of the market (or refurbished)?

I bought an Asus a couple of years ago and thought it would do me for a while, but it's now struggling having had to take the brunt of the WFH adaptations, particularly Sharepoint. Ideally to be reasonably light but not in the top 3 qualities.

I would need it to handle a LOT of web work, Teams/Zoom/Google Classroom, nothing all that fancy. Not really gaming. Also to be reasonably cooperative in connecting to AV if possible.

Check out Argos on eBay. They do Grade A refurbs that are usually unused returns so effectively brand new.

You ideally want 4GB RAM as a minimum and storage size depends on how much stuff you keep or whether you use cloud storage. Any processor will do for general usage.

Brands like HP, Asus, Acer are all fine.

Look at things like battery life as a priority if you will use it on the move regularly.

Great, thanks, I like the look of the Argos options anyway but didn't think about them on eBay.

Our work uses Lenovo ThinkPads, and mine seems perfectly adequate. On the back of this, we bought DSS a refurbished Lenovo IdeaPad (which are their home version) - again, this seems to do the job.
