Hi everyone, I hope all is OK, so I'm being induced tomorrow, and fingers toes and everything crossed that we get to meet out rainbow baby girl by Friday, and I'm just wondering when they say ring up at 9am and they give you a time to go in, what was the times they give you? Did they make you wait all day to go in or was it pritty soon after ringing?

And also what's the one thing that everyone has taken into hospital that they cudent of done without both for baby and mum?

Thanks for reading.

Morning Smile

My memory is a bit hazy but I think I had to call a few times, they kept pushing our arrival time back as they were so busy on the ward so I wouldn’t count on having a set time. Also, word of warning - I was induced but was in hospital for a week as the induction wasn’t started until day 5 as they had no room on the labour ward, a couple of women on the ward had been waiting a lot longer than me and were transferred to other hospitals in the area after they starting complaining loudly…

I would recommend music on your phone and headphones for a bit of escapism, especially if you have to stay in and wait to be induced.

Hope things happen quickly for you, good luck!

I rang and was given a time to come in. I'd say take some Vaseline for your lips, mine dried out so quickly with all the puffing and blowing. Also, I went in on a Sunday and didn't give birth until Thursday. So plenty of snacks, drinks and reading materials.

I definaly need to remember my phone and charger. And that's a good idea lipsil as my lips get dry anyway. I hope I don't have to wait days so here's praying there not busy and they can get me in in the morning but we shall see what they say.
I just keep thinking not long now and we will have her here and in my arms.

Iv totaly blitzed the full house today hahah. And got very organized. I'm sure it won't stay like that for long lol.

Hi all, just updating the post as I hated it when I was reading a post from years ago and they was no update.

I went in last Thursday to be induced, they checked me and was all ready 2cm so no need for pessery. I had to wait till the nxt day tho as they had emergencys ect. They took me birth suite at 11 am and broke my waters which fml things started stright away, so didint need to go on the drip. And out little 6lb 5.5oz rainbow baby girl was in my arms at 2.39pm. Nurses were shocked how quick she was, I went from 2cm to 7cm to 10cm. Wasent due to be checked till 3pm as they only check u every 4 hours. But I demanded they checked me cos I was needed to push. So she did and was like go for it hahaha. Nxt min she was here. Soooo happy she's prefect and we was home at midnight the same day.
