An you freeze fresh celery?

I rarely use it. Just in recipes every now and again.
I just bought a bunch nut only need one bit.
Can I freeze it?

Never tried, but I'd chop it up and freeze on a tray, then bag up. Only if to be used in cooking though, it'll go mushy after thawing.

Yes, I chop it very small, and just put it in a bag to freeze. It's handy for sauces, soups etc straight from the freezer.

Yep - I do it. I freeze raw chopped celery, chopped leeks, and chopped carrots and use them in soups and stews. Works brilliantly.

I buy frozen sofritto from the supermarket and that contains frozen chopped celery so I presume so.

Yep fine if you’re going to use it in something cooked like bolognese, not if you want to use it fresh like in a salad as it will go mushy when defrosted.
