I’ve just checked, I’ve no spuds.
Too lazy to go and get some..,so what do you suggest?

We like to have it as a hot sandwich in a breadcake with loads of apple sauce. I’ll shove some cherry tomatoes and chopped veggies on the side of the plate.

Some kind of ham pasta bake?

NotYourCupOfTea · 12/10/2021 15:02

Or omelette

Pancakes and bechamel/mustard sauce with veg on the side?

FrankiesKnuckle · 12/10/2021 15:04

Egg and chips of course!

FrankiesKnuckle · 12/10/2021 15:05

Realised my mistake - you have no spuds. Frozen chips?

HelebethH · 12/10/2021 15:59

Hawaian rice. Easy to make. Just bung everything in a saucepan
Stock
Rice
Onion
Tin pineapple including juice
Whatever seasonong you fancy/have
I add pepper and/or sweetcorn if I have some. Still tastes good without

JizzyJane · 12/10/2021 16:05

A crescent of pringles and a hot egg

DynastyBarry · 12/10/2021 16:09

Parsley sauce and veg

Onesailwait · 12/10/2021 16:12

Egg & chips is the only sensible suggestion

AdaColeman · 12/10/2021 16:20

Any tins of lentils, or mixed beans or haricot beans or butter beans? All of those would work with ham.
If doing lentils, gently fry a chopped onion till soft, add some crushed garlic and the lentils then warm through. If doing the beans warm through with a little stock from a stock cube and a good sprinkle of dried herbs, and crushed garlic if available.

sunglassesonthetable · 12/10/2021 16:23

" a crescent of pringles..." Perfection. 😃

MrsDThomas · 12/10/2021 16:27

Gotta have chips! And cauliflower cheese

Or my fresh home made chutney (my pad stinks of vinegar). Cant wait to cook my Christmas ham now.

Adelino · 12/10/2021 16:28

Beetroot in white sauce.

cleckheatonwanderer · 12/10/2021 16:32

Cauliflower cheese

butterflyze · 12/10/2021 16:32

What do I suggest? Tell yourself not to be so lazy and go and buy some nice big spuds for jacket potatoes. Grin
Then have the ham with jacket potatoes, parsley sauce and whatever veg you have lying around.

Or - a can of pineapple rings and oven chips with some salad.

Applecrumble24 · 12/10/2021 16:33

Pea and ham risotto, there’s a recipe you can adapt on bbc good food 😋

TooMinty · 12/10/2021 17:23

Cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, glazed carrots - yum!

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 12/10/2021 17:40

Baked beans. Or Cauliflower cheese.

Damnyoureyes · 12/10/2021 17:46

Nope. Not going to get spuds, no. I remain lazy.
Night shift last night, 2 hours sleep hence slinging a ham into the slow cooker.

So it’s ham, egg and oven chips, cracking idea so thanks all! Smile
