for me it is
afternoon naps
When my afro is knot free and washed
Clean sheets
Hugs from my niece
Mental clarity i seem to get in the dead of the night while lying awake

When my son comes over and plonks himself on my knee, arm around my neck.
He's autistic and hugs are on his terms, so I make the most of each one.

Cat in autumn. Loamy leafmoldy woodsmokey delish-ness. Mmmmm.

Crisp sandwich: cheap white bread, butter, ready salted walkers. Oh yes.

Walking my dogs early morning, and just being on my own surrounded by bird song and the wind in the trees.

A hug from my grandchildren.

A small space on the deck where I do yoga and have arty things around me.

Friday evenings. It's so nice just chilling out with DH and the DCs without the worry of school/work the next day.
Going for a walk and looking around to see nothing but fields around me.
When the DCs write me little notes saying how much they love me. I appreicate them all because I know they'll be teenagers soon and then they'll probably hate me!
