Can’t sleep so browsing on RightMove. What is this hedge meant to look like?!

An elephant? A dinosaur?

Wow, there's a lot of work gone in to that, whatever it may be.

I wondered if the sticky-out bit might actually be a tail, so we can't see the head end but it might be something looking in the living room window.

Wendyer · 12/10/2021 03:52

Oh that could work! Like a big dinosaur bending down to have a look through the window!

Penguin?

YodaiamsaidI · 12/10/2021 04:23

Peacock's head?

LaurieFairyCake · 12/10/2021 04:26

It's a peacock - the fan is the tail

If you zoom in you can see the floofs on its head

Wendyer · 12/10/2021 08:12

Oh it is a peacock! Thank you :). Seems obvious now you’ve said it!

How many years did that take to get a Peacock with cankles?

I still can't see it Blush
Pippyweather · 12/10/2021 09:07

@UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername If you remove the part that looks like legs nearest the window of the house, you are left with a triangle piece in front of it. Thats the Tail Fan of the peacock and what you moght have thought of as a tail is the peacocks neck. It is facing AWAY from the house and it has a little crown thing on top if its head.

Halfpace · 12/10/2021 09:09

I’m not convinced about the peacock— if it’s a peacock, it appears to have one very chunky pillar-like leg in front and one at the back. Topiary cankles, as someone said!

eurochick · 12/10/2021 09:12

Looks more like an elephant to me. I don't see a peacock. It has got four legs for starters.

youngestisapsycho · 12/10/2021 09:24

A peacock?? how is anyone seeing that?

ApolloandDaphne · 12/10/2021 09:26

Is it on Google Earth? Can you see it from above?

honeygriff · 12/10/2021 09:56

The squirrely thing off ice age?

Badabingbadabum · 12/10/2021 09:59

Peacock floofs is one of thebest things I've ever read!
ThroughTheTunnel · 12/10/2021 10:03

I can't see a peacock, it's a dinosaur with fat legs.

LagneyandCasey · 12/10/2021 10:06

The head is peacock-like but the rest is definitely elephant or dinosaur wearing flares. Maybe it's the just the photo angle.

Anyway, it's nothing that a few minutes with a chain saw wouldn't sort out!

Saisong · 12/10/2021 10:11

Looks like an anteater to me.

But I think it might be a peacock head (ignore the big bush nearest the house). The fan is the thing on top of the head and the pointy bit the beak.

LuckyLucyLoot · 12/10/2021 10:30

I think it's a whole peacock rather than just the head.
A bit like this, but with a really long neck!

Cupcakey · 12/10/2021 15:03

A tortoise? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cupcakey · 12/10/2021 15:06

senua · 12/10/2021 15:09

A rather startled clanger with a butterfly on its nose?

Cupcakey · 12/10/2021 15:12

Hope this appears 😆

Verbena87 · 12/10/2021 15:14

Anteater?

KickAssAngel · 12/10/2021 15:16

The tree behind it isn't another set of legs - it's separate. So, yes, it's a kind of stylized, chinky peacock, looking away from the house.
