Car struggling to start on E10 petrol

My car is a six year old Suzuki and I have been using the new E10 fuel. This morning it wouldn't start so dh checked the battery etc., but couldn't find anything wrong. He then gave the gas peddle some welly when turning the ignition and it eventually spluttered into life. It then ran okay. It's well maintained and serviced regularly.

Dh drives a three year old Ford and usually uses SuperUnleaded (E5), but was putting in E10 as well and his car had difficulty starting the other day. He went to the petrol station and put in the E5 and it's been fine. I've put in some E5 now as well and it started okay just now.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? From reading online, E10 can cause difficulties with starting.

My DH’s car is struggling. It’s meant to be fine on E10 but frankly isn’t. He says it runs better on super unleaded, so stick to it, I say.

Yes, we'll just use E5 from now on. I don't think it's right that they're selling this as for normal use though. My dh's car is only three years old. What cars are actually okay on E10?
