Hairdresser

I'm desperately looking for a good hairdresser. I travel a long way to go to my old one at the minute, simply because i can't find anyone else i trust to cut it properly, and it's easier to just jump in my car and travel a bit further. I don't have to go too often, but ideally I'd like to find somewhere closer to home. I don't have thick hair as such, just lots of fine hair. It's not hard to cut, i just find it hard to style day to day. I want someone who just knows what would suit me based on my hair/face type etc. I don't mind paying a bit more for a very very good cut, but equally i don't care if there's an amazing stylist at Supercuts, I'm not into all the ambiance etc. I'm looking for someone around Stockport/ Manchester.

Can anyone help?! The more suggestions, the better.

Ta in advance!

Ask someone who has a hairstyle that suits them well, and whose hair always look good, ideally with the same sort of hair as you.

IME the big fancy hairdressers aren't necessarily the best.

I really rate Laura Caroline in Cheadle Hulme. Ask for an appointment with Laura.

They're lovely, reasonably priced and always do a good job.

I went to them after my usual hair dresser (of 15 years!) went through a really weird patch and kept doing a terrible job. I went to Laura Caroline for her to fix the other ones mistake and never looked back!

My hair is the same as yours, fine hair but a lot of it!

Not in your area but I would definitely say that price /big salon isn't everything. When I needed a home hairdresser I asked on Facebook and the majority told me about the same person. I decided to book a dry cut to try her out and when she came charged £7! She's the best I've had and been coming for five years and no price increase either.

I wouldn't mind a mobile hairdresser, as long as they're really good that's all I care about

Florin at Florin Bob in Davenport is good. He does a lot of brazilian blow dries but his cuts and colours are great too. I've got fine, shoulder length hair that I CBA styling a lot of the time, so he does a realistic low-maintenance cut for me.

Try Melissa Timperly in Manchester. Victoria does mine (I have the same fine-but-lots-of-it hair) and she's ace.
