Baby breakfast ideas

My 11 month old isn't into breakfast. She has allergies to egg, milk and nuts.

So far for breakfast she has fruit purée with some ready brek mixed in, weetabix with oat milk (she doesn't take much of that), or toast with soy or coconut yoghurt.

What else do you offer for breakfast? I'm stuck for ideas

Crumpets
Fruit and yogurt
Savoury muffins
Pancakes

Banana pancakes (made with oat milk)
Mashed avocado with toast fingers
Peach slices with yoghurt

Same allergies here (plus a few more!). We do sourdough crumpets from Tesco with vegan butter and jam, home made flapjacks (just oats, banana, oat milk and fruit baked in the oven), berries and coconut yoghurt with chia and flax seeds, sweet potato pancakes.

BTW Parents of children with multiple food allergies is a good group on FB and people share a lot of meal ideas.

Pancakes
Avocado on toast
Blueberry muffins
Fruit salad and yoghurt
Banana on toast
Fruit and oat smoothie
Porridge bars

Forgot to mention she's suspected FPIES to avocado too, so avoiding that.

Crumpets is a great suggestion.

How do you do sweet potato pancakes?

Is there a reason you feel the need to offer more?

I'm on dc3 and he gets the older 2s toast crusts or some porridge (if we're having it) and fruit if we have something easy for him. Why create work for yourself?

BrownEyedSquirrel · 11/10/2021 20:14

There are several sweet potato pancake recipes online and I can't remember which we used but they were actually so tasty. Our little guy is almost 2 and had his with maple syrup. Ingredients were basically mashed sweet potato, flour, oat milk and a little baking powder I think.

My 1 year old has porridge ( regular oats and whatever milk), blob of apple/ fruit purée and then a banana for breakfast 99% of the time. He seems happy with little variety
