I'm looking for a career in social work/domestic abuse/drug and alcohol support

I don't know where to start. I suffer quite bad with anxiety so I'm abit uneasy in certain situations, also I dont have my maths gcse. I'm just looking for advice on apprenticeships etc that I could do as I'm 26 and don't fancy further education unless it's the only option

If you’ve not got your Maths GCSE that would need to be your first step. Secondly, are you getting help with your anxiety? The careers you’ve mentioned are ones that’ll put you in difficult positions quite regularly and you’ll have to be quite resilient to protect your mental health.

Lastly, apprenticeships ARE a type of further education. You’ll be expected to study, do further reading, write essays etc.

Hi, I've never heard of an apprenticeship in social work. You need a degree or masters.
It's a lot of paperwork & a lot of responsibility for others' lives & well being.
I've been a social worker for 11 years after working for schools & charities for a few years prior to training, you will defo need relevant experience so if you don't have it, get applying first. Good luck.

Yeah I'm having therapy for my anxiety which is helping. By further education I kind of meant like college uni etc, i tend to learn better on the job if that makes sense

Ive been out of work etc for 2 years now and I really want to go into a job ive always wanted x
