Anyone been on Ryanair recently?

Are they filling all the seats? Or are they leaving some distance between passengers? I can imagine the answer, just wondering if anyone can confirm. I'm due to fly in a couple of months.

Not Ryanair but all the flights I’ve been on recently (tui and easyJet) are filling as normal

jendifer · 11/10/2021 11:46

We’ve flown a few times recently. Plane was about 75% full.
It was compulsory to wear an ffp2 mask or higher and the police escorted some people off the plane who refused to wear one

I have flown Ryanair last month and the flight was as full as they same route normally is this time of year

Full planes. Masks worn unless drinking or eating, quite strict with it on my flight. Also random seat allocation if not purchased beforehand, we didn't need to sit beside each other so didn't bother reserving. They separated us even though there was plenty of seats that were by each other. I would have imagined sitting people beside those on tickets together made more sense as likely to be family/friend. Guess they couldn't make money that way though.

As above, just returned from Spain and they are filling up the flights as normal. Flight out was very quiet but that was due to lack of people booking rather than any distancing measures on Ryanair's part.

LaMadrilena · 11/10/2021 12:12

Thanks everyone. When I booked there were hardly any seats taken so wasn't sure. To be honest I'm not so much worried about COVID as about having a bored 6-month-old on my knee trying to make friends with the neighbours!

Which route was this?
TheGrumpyGoat · 11/10/2021 12:16

Yes we have. The flight was practically empty there and back, but that was luck on our part rather than a policy decision.

Palavah · 11/10/2021 12:16

I just booked to fly this week and didn't see anything about type of mask!

It wasn’t compulsory on our flight. Just normal face coverings, which you could remove to eat and drink. Normal exemptions applied.

2 weeks ago we just wore bog standard masks - and spent a lot of time drinking my coffee!

Winederlust · 11/10/2021 12:22

The type of mask depends on the destination rather than the airline as I understand it...

Ellarain · 11/10/2021 12:23

Flight to and from Spain in July/August. Full plane both times.

FredaFox · 11/10/2021 12:26

I've flown this weekend, flight was 3/4 full out and 90% full back so no opportunity to distance
The airports are empty really and everyone has masks

FredaFox · 11/10/2021 12:27

To add, my outbound flight we booked 2 aisle seats, we ended up with a full row each
