I regret having the second Covid jab

Had it almost a week ago and I'm still struggling with the side effects. Horribly sore ribs. A "stuck burp" feeling. Exhaustion. Feeling like I can't breathe properly.

I'm so fed up with it and just want to be back to normal.

Got so bad yesterday that I went to urgent care and was given a good check up - they didn't find anything wrong and said it was just the side effects and ride it out basically.

But I'm so fed up. I just want to be back to normal. Also seriously thinking about if I should have the booster if it's offered to me because I can't stand feeling like this again!

Bit late for that. Regrets won't help.

And you'd feel a lot worse for a lot longer with long covid, so curl up with some comfort food and a book and wait for it to pass. Hope you feel better soon. Smile

Had covid last month and honestly felt better than I do now. I'm so fed up with it.

Thank you though.

Are you sure some of those symptoms aren't caused by anxiety? Other that tiredness they don't really sound like the usual vaccine side effects.

I honestly don't know. I felt fine until the jab and I wasn't anxious about having it because I was fine after my first one.

The rib pain is apparently a known side effect according to the nurse and GP I saw. I also don't feel at all anxious right now - just very fed up!

If you've had Covid between the first and second vaccines then it seems to be the case that side effects from the second jab are nasty, since your body now recognises Covid from the previous infection and really goes to town! My DD had the same - horrible side effects after second jab where she'd caught Covid in between . Friend of mine had the same.

Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon and can be reassured that you have some great antibodies!

Thanks! I'm very ready for this feeling to go away!

I hope you feel better soon! At least it's done now, don't worry about any boosters yet 💐 My jab made me feel awful. I had a fever so high I wouldn't have been all that shocked if I spontaneously combusted!

bummer, OP.
You won't be offered booster before April 2022, anyway.

Hope you feel much better soon.

I had rib pain! I had no idea it was a side effect. I even rang my GP who thought I might have had a clot (but I had pfizer) I'm still glad I had it though. I did fell 'off' for ten days. I'm going for my booster on Tues.

I had this after Pfizer and having previously had covid too. The random muscle pains in my arms and chest area also concerned me and I felt like I had the tight chest/stuck burp thing you describe. I also got a weird bruise on my kneecap that stayed for 2 weeks and didn’t change colour before it finally faded away.
I wasn’t happy to have any of those side effects and was actually personally unhappy I needed any vaccine after recovering from natural covid with no problems but we don’t seem to have much choice if we want to live a normal life and travel!
However, if you are the same as me, I am now 3 weeks post vaccine and all of these issues seem to have subsided (fingers crossed).

Thank you!

The GP at the hospital said I was the third person he'd seen with similar side effects. I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. Starting to think I've lost my marbles but even though I do have anxiety, it has never presented like this.

Not sure if I said, but I also have Pfizer. I reported it using the yellow flag scheme.

I won't be having any more covid jabs. Terrible side effects which I yellow carded and have received medical advice for (fat lot of good that did).

I got codeine from the hospital which has been helpful. Hate taking I though because it makes me feel so spacy.

I really hate feeling the way I do now - it really reminds me of how I felt when I was severely anemic. Going to pester my GP to get my bloods done just in case.
