Anyone worry about journaling and leaving themselves open to their private thoughts being exposed?

That’s why I never wrote anything down as a teen my mother was nosy and I had zero privacy. As a mum I started but then child found and read at least a page so I gave up!! I also felt a bit silly putting my thoughts and feelings down on paper, but this could stem from childhood lack of privacy

I don't journal so not in the literal sense but when I've been inclined before then yes. I wouldn't want someone rifling through it if I passed away; I always feel so discomforted when deceased relatives letters and cards etc have been poured over posthumously, I don't agree with it and hate the idea of it happening to me.

Same! I find it quite therapeutic just writing and pouring out my thoughts and feelings on paper. The only solution I have come up with is shredding it straight after Grin
