Fat Face

Anyone else love everything Fat Face sells?

I got an email this morning saying 20% off all knitwear today so went to have a little look... everything is so beautiful. I've bought a few bits and pieces from FF over the years and I swear they all still look new.

It's just soooo expensive. Who are these people who can afford their beautiful clothes? I buy occasionally in sales but mostly have to go elsewhere

Ebay has lots of BNWT Fat Face stuff. I've picked up quite a few dresses over the years.

PesosBandage · 10/10/2021 12:09

I was going to suggest ebay too after reading that you, like me, find it expensive.

I've found fat face increasingly hit and miss over the years, as some stuff seems to be really synthetic sometimes, but there's often good bargains on ebay.

I think I get good bargains on ebay because I'm just not actually cool, and nobody else wants the things I like, but hey, works for me!

Florence282 · 10/10/2021 12:11

Have a look on vinted too.

Walesrecommendations · 10/10/2021 12:18

Meee. Most of my clothes are from there now. Although i don't really like their dresses/some patterned tops. Im a sucker for their jumpers. The Next clearance section can be quite good for their stuff, I got some boots last winter for £37.

TheMissingMango · 10/10/2021 12:19

They're at some of the big outlet centres.

milcal · 10/10/2021 12:26

I've bought a couple of things in Vinted recently. Good quality and cheaper. I also buy full price from the shop occasionally but usually get a discount which helps.

At the moment I have my eye on a jacket for the winter. 🤗

CorrBlimeyGG · 10/10/2021 12:31

I can't work out their sizes, they've fallen into the White Stuff super generous sizing habit. I am going to spend the afternoon looking at knitwear though!

TuftyMarmoset · 10/10/2021 12:39

I love a lot of their stuff and just ordered some tops this week but need to send it all back because their sizing seems to be really off and I was swamped in all of it! Ebay is a good shout if you are confident on size/ask for the garment measurements to compare to your other clothes.

Agreed, bought a dress on Friday in my wishful thinking size rather than realistic size and it fitted.

I momentarily felt chuffed convinced that if the label says x then I must actually be x. I know that's absolutely not true though Hmm

MydogWillow · 10/10/2021 12:47

Design wise, there was a time I could go into White Stuff and liked everything. Now though just not inspired.

wallysally · 10/10/2021 12:52

I wouldn't say it's THAT expensive. I think it's hit and miss.

iwannabelikeyouhoohoo · 10/10/2021 13:07

I used to work there and someone once came in and said “If I showed you that I have a fat face tattoo, would you give me a discount?” We thought he was joking and agreed; he did indeed have the logo tattooed on his arm and he got 10% off. So, that’s an option, I guess?

Beahappy2a · 10/10/2021 13:20

I have quite a few new cashmere jumpers from fatface that I’m about to put onto eBay if anyone wants to DM me xxx

qualitygirl · 10/10/2021 13:41

Or you could befriend someone who works there and get invited to the family and friends discount days and use their discount too... I think it was like 25% or 50% very decent amount anyway!! Could have been more!!

MancMum2000 · 10/10/2021 15:47

No I think most of it is very frumpy and it’s an awful brand name too.

ILiedAboutBeingTheOutdoorType · 10/10/2021 16:43

I find it hit and miss. Have a few pairs of chinos and a couple of tops from there which I love, but I find the knitwear and a lot of the tops really frumpy and unflattering. I don't think it's hugely expensive compared to similar brands, but sometimes over priced.

Hen2018 · 10/10/2021 17:57

I’ve gone off FF a little bit over recent years.

I still like White Stuff but prefer Mistral (mainly in the SW). I get it all from EBay and charity shops.

pictish · 10/10/2021 18:03

They’ve gone a bit wishy washy inspid recently IMO. I’ve had some great items from FF in the past but I haven’t found anything to part with cash for, in ages.
I might head over now for a deek.

pictish · 10/10/2021 18:06

Oh…though though though, I bought a cute little leather satchel recently, wasn’t cheap. It only sits closed neatly if there’s hardly anything in it. It has pen slots but if you put a bog standard biro in them the tops poke the bag’s flap up and open. Not brilliant.

PaperMonster · 10/10/2021 18:51

I love FF. currently wearing one of their t-shirt material shirts and their jeans which are the comfiest ever. I also love their leggings.

BadPlaceJanet · 10/10/2021 19:45

Just before the pandemic I happened to go in store for a browse and got two cashmere cardigans for £13 each in a flash sale. They're thick and beautiful (and I have lots of cashmere to compare). Probably the best sale bargain I've ever had.

And I bought a leather backpack from FF men's range this summer which is amazing.

Notreallyawaitress · 10/10/2021 20:07

Sports Pursuit currently have FatFace on sale with most stuff at least 50% off

Have been browsing and bidding on eBay today Grin

Can anyone tell me what their sizing is like? I’m eyeing up a few things on Vinted.

cariadlet · 10/10/2021 20:21

I've got some lovely Fat Face skirts for work but they're all from charity shops. I would never pay full price for anything new. Much too expensive.
