I was added to a Whats App with some colleagues (I'm new there), they added me and said 'hello [my name]' and then the conversation moved on. I didn't see it until hours later as my phone was on silent and I felt it would be awkward to send a message saying 'hey' or 'thanks for adding me' at like 8pm at night when it's kind of a work-related group.
I then forgot about it but the Whats App group is fairly active and I haven't said anything on it yet so I've been kind of ignoring it.
I'm completely over-thinking this because it's colleagues that I don't know well and some I haven't even met.
Should I send a message saying I didn't notice i had been added or had my Whats App notifications turned off so didn't see or just join in with the conversation next time it starts up?
