Just wondering really if anyone has any good ideas. We are highlands. Test applied for june this year for tractor, essential for apprenticeship.....date arrived today, next May!!! She will be able to do her car come next june which includes tractor. Doesn't seem to be a cancellation process.

The joke is the examiner does not get into the tractor so these could have continued during covid.

I've messaged one place in Burnley which is a day's drive but might be all we can do.

Anyone know of anywhere else that does day courses, Google not throwing anything up.

Is it a test, or training you're looking for? You started talking about a test but then you're asking about courses - different issue.

Here (Scotland, Central belt) people who fail their car driving test are back for another test 3 weeks later - the waiting lists aren't as bad as some of the media coverage suggests, at least not everywhere. There are apps which will find cancellations for you.

Does she have her provisional licence? I believe DVLA are taking a long time to issue those just now.

3 weeks? Interesting. I failed in July and can't get one until next year. (Ayrshire)

The apps flag cancellations.

I am told slots are also made available as they go sometimes.

@tobypercy a test. Yes she has her provisional. Just a tractor test. Nearly a year from applying!

I mention course because aside from the one we have for May, some places offer a day course with test but the closest I can find is a day drive away. Just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere else.

She can drive it no bother, just needs test to get on road. If we are waiting to May might as well just wait to june and do the car one

Tractor one doesn't seem to show on app

If she needs it for her apprenticeship can the employer/course provider help at all?

stripetop · 09/10/2021 20:18

@QuornSausagesAreTheDevilsPenis thank you. Have emailed them. Have emailed all local test centres and left messages asking how we get a cancellation. Just cannot believe it's 11 months from sending it. Sad
