Wellies that aren’t flappy around the calf

I’ve spend ages searching for a nice looking pair of wellies for dog walking.
I find a pair I like, try them on and they just look awful, so flappy around the calf area.
My calf is 33cm, not sure if that’s average or not but I’m struggling to find a snug fit in that area.
Does anyone else have this issue? Any recommendations?

Depending on the size of your feet, try children's. I have Bogs wellies which are lovely and warm and fit well in size 38. Looks like they go up to 39

Not wellies, but these are my waterproof dog walking boots and I’ve got really skinny legs. Cheapest on Amazon.

The Hunter Refined tall wellies are narrow around the calf. I have the regular Hunters and find these really tight in comparison:

I have exactly the same issue. Nearly all wellies are baggy round the ankles and calves. The only ones that fit me are Hunters, they are a slimmer fit and you can tighten the calves. The original model gets a bad press for being just festival wellies and not actually functional, but the Norris field boots are much tougher and good for for walking. Mine have lasted really well. Hunters here too. I know they get a bad press from the S&B board (fuck ‘em) but they don’t flap about my calves, I’ve had mine for years.

Ariat wellies are tight around the calf. Not cheap, about £120 a pair, but I've had mine since 2014 and I've done a lot of miles in them. You'll need boot jack to get them off easily.

I also have the hunters slim fit, I find the ones the pp linked to, the normal ones huge round the calves. The slim fit are much neater.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I did try a pair of standard Hunters but they were really flappy, I didn’t realise they also do a slim version.
Last year I purchased a pair Barbour Lindifarne wellies which were a perfect fit, dh made a wellie boot holder and I left them outside and the sun has cracked them now they leak terribly. Such a shame as they were perfect for me but they are no longer available.

I second Ariats. We've had mixed experiences with their leather shoes, but I wear their wellies and couldn't rate them highly enough.
