Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just finishing my first coffee of the day. I've been sitting at my kitchen table, listening to the birds outside & scrolling MN.

The washer's on, and second load's sorted for when that finishes. The rest of the house is ok for today.

We're off for a wander to a very local craft fair today, for a couple of hours. Not sure what sort of stalls there'll be, the advert didn't say, but I'm looking forward to it. I still need to print the tickets though!

We've got pork loin steaks for tea, with garlic & parmesan roast potatoes and salad. And a glass of wine for me.

I expect the girls will Minecraft the evening away after being out & I'll watch some more Once Upon A Time while deciding what to crochet next.

I’m still in pjs. Have been MNing on the sofa with tea and toast.

About to go up for a shower. Going for my flu jab and then to Tesco and the local farm shop. Will put some washing on before I go.

Nothing much planned today. Might go for a walk. The field I normally take the dog around at the back of the house has disappeared in fog.

We are having a pathway and some sleepers laid at the side of the house and will end up with a flower bed one end with a plot for herbs opposite so planning what to plant in those. So some time with the Sarah Raven catalogue needed later.

No idea what is for dinner really yet. DS has had Covid and hasn’t been eating much although is on the mend. We have a few options so it will depend on what he feels like.

Lovely relaxed morning so far, just sorting out some paperwork with plenty of tea, now I’m getting stared on the ironing, so I don’t have to do it tomorrow. We’re going into town to watch the Bond film this afternoon, then going out for tea and a nice glass of wine each as we’re not driving. I’m most looking forward to getting a Costa frostino to take into the film - is it too decadent to get sweets too?!

Sat in car drinking a coffee while dd2 does tap .
This afternoon we need to go shopping to get dd1 a load of bits for her residential in a week .
Then strictly tonight .

DS is currently reading but needs cajoling into doing his family tree for school.

DH has sorted out the new computer. I’ve done some school governor stuff and had a little walk to the corner shop in the sunshine.

We’re off to a cousin’s birthday party at 1. Then dropping DS with MIL for 24 hours.

DH and I are going to watch James Bond tonight then go to the pub.

Had a lie-in until 9:30, although in my defence I was on a late shift. Currently sitting MNing trying to put off doing productive stuff, then back to work this afternoon for another late shift.

Recovering from a hang over, going to do some shopping in a bit and maybe a walk with the DC and then finish sorting the garden out for winter before the weather turns bad again. Boring, lazy day for me.

Finished my 3rd night shift, had 2 hours sleep. Got to take my dd to work at 12.30, then go shopping loads of housework. Then catch up with some more sleep.

DH is at work, having a lovely long lie in and some breakfast, will do some chores before meet DH later - going to see Rick Astley and Blossoms do the songs of The Smiths. As you do.

Having a cheeky McDonald's party while my dd is at a bowling party !

Up since 7am with DS as it was DHs morning for a lie in.

Just had a shower and slowly getting ready for an early birthday lunch with my friend while DH takes DS to the crazy golf place.

Some kind of Hello Fresh BBQ chicken and wedges for tea with a wine or two, then last two episodes of Nine Perfect Strangers 👍🏻👍🏻

About to do have a cup of tea and then do some yoga. Will potter around till 4, and then date night begins with an escape room and a meal out afterwards! Having to squeeze in lots of dates this month before DH goes away with work for a month.

We’ve pottered about this morning, got food for fat cat from the vet. Finally bought a double bed for DSS room (which doubles as guest room when he’s not here).

Need to see my mum later as she has my coat and car key which I stupidly left in her boot after a walk last week. Might use that trip as an excuse to mooch to the nice craft market near her!

DD is doing homework/reading/playing on her tablet.

Salmon and roasted lemon veg for dinner then early night.

I’m so rock n roll I might do a yoga class later…

I drank too much wine last night so will abstain today(maybe). Two DC's at friends and other glued to playstation. Really need coffee but my arse is loving the sofa too much. Will watch strictly,possibly order a takeaway and watch crap on TV.

Have just got back from a morning dip at the beach with a friend, was quite warm actually.
Having a coffee while reading MN and generally procrastinating!
Will be walking to local pub later for dinner with the kids, then back home for a few drinks and an early night.

Up since 6.30 with toddler DD on our way to the beach as it's a nice day here and we didn't manage to go this summer. Pub lunch, run around on the beach, couple of rides, ice cream and chips for tea and then home I reckon . This evening I'll be doing the many loads of washing that I should have got done today but that's fine.

Have the house to ourselves this weekend. DH currently conducting viewings of his deceased Mum's house. I'm still in my dressing gown finishing my 3rd coffee because I've got a head cold and feel rubbish. Going to try and rally myself with a hot shower and then let DH take me out for a nice lunch.

I can feel a nap coming on this afternoon, followed by lying on the sofa all evening reading and instructing DH to bring me another cup of tea.

DC and I are staying at my parents. DC1 did her homework this morning. It involved making a Lego animation on her iPod. She has never been so enthusiastic about a homework. We went to a food and gift fair at a garden centre with my mum. It was hard, because there were a lot of things DH would have liked (he died suddenly in September). DC are having lunch, then my mum has found a pile of games from my childhood for them. Later I think my mum and I are going to Costco to consider food for the wake after DH’s funeral.

We'll we were going to a little show at the local theatre, but instead I'm changing my sick covered clothes for the 3rd time as Dd has been projectile vomiting since 5:30 am. It's even in my bra 😩

I was up and out at 7.15 with DD2 for training, was roped in to help, until 11. Remembered to buy hen food on the way home - my win of the day! Just had lunch and a chill coffee, to be followed by a cheeky mid-afternoon bath.

Taking DD2 to work at 4, will try to do some chores and batch-cooking then (try to mobilise DD3) before Netflix and Knit until midnight when I collect DD2. No wine for me today! DH is away for a month, and with me taking DDs to a sports comp all day tomorrow, I need to make today count both for cleaning and chilling.

Raining heavily and in the throes of a fibro flare, so on the sofa on MN. Have made soup and hoping someone else will make bolognese for dinner.

I am so sorry for your loss @badlydrawnbear. That sounds very hard.

Oh you're all so lucky to be having such pleasant Saturdays!

I've been up since 3.30am vomiting/with the migraine from hell. It's side effects from my new RA drug which I started last week, I have to inject myself with it weekly and it's nasty stuff. I would give anything to be sitting in the pub with DH this afternoon, or going for lunch, or to the cinema or anything that's not running to the toilet every half hour with a head that feel like it's about to explode!

So I'm v woe is me BUT next weekend I'll be on my first trip away in over two years, so at least next Saturday will be better than this one. Hopefully the side effects will have calmed down by then!
