As this will probably go under most people's radar, Michael Fabricant MP replied to a tweet saying he liked the word "Remongers" to refer to Remainers.

It's hard to see how progress will be made on ableism when people like him are in Parliament. He's one person but there will be others with the same mindset.

He is an embarrassment. A callous, preening buffoon. A total ARSE.

He's an awful man. A mean-spirited and vapid little person. Perfectly embodies the Tory part in 2021.

When I first saw him I genuinely thought he was a Harry Enfield character.

I'm the last person to defend a Tory, and Fabricant is one of the ones I can't stand in particular, but I think he just means it in the sense "a person who attempts to stir up or spread something that is usually petty or discreditable —usually used in combination"?

But then, I have never, and would never used the "m" word to refer to the disabled, so my mind did not automatically go there.

I hope you're right but I suspect otherwise.
