Kings Cross to National Gallery, easiest tube?

Not used to tubes in London, need to get to The National Gallery from Kings Cross. So am I right in saying

Kings Cross to Leicester Square then change to the black line to Charing Cross, get off there and walk 10 mins???

It’s quicker to walk from Leicester Square tube to Charing Cross tube than change lines and take the tube!

Victoria Line to Leicester Square.

Piccadilly Line to Picc. Circus and then a 5 mins walk to Trafalgar Square

You can walk to the National Gallery easily from Leicester Square tube. Probably less than 5 mins

You can walk easily from Leicester Square or Holborn

You can walk from either Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus. I'd probably not bother changing either.

Victoria Line to Leicester Square.

Victoria line doesn't go through Leicester square.

Walk from Leicester Sq definitely. I’d probably get the Piccadilly line as I feel like it would be marginally quicker but the northern would work equally as well.

Piccadilly (dark blue) line to Leicester Square and then it’s about 5 mins walk to the National Gallery (Trafalgar Square).

Or get the 91 bus from Kings Cross to Trafalgar Square

Sorry not the northern line - it’s the wrong branch! So won’t get you there. Definitely the Piccadilly line, to Leicester sq. then short walk.

No I don't think it would. Kings Cross is on the Bank Branch, and Leicester Square is on the Charing Cross Branch. You'd need to change at Euston

Get the 91 bus - cheaper and far more pleasant!

I normally walk from Kings Cross to the West End and go past the National Gallery. Takes 30 mins. Google maps will give route.

@Newnormal99 you are correct. I meant Piccadilly line. Both blue, but the Victoria line is light blue.
