Aren’t dogs the best thing ever?

I’m sadly experiencing a miscarriage, my dog usually has got no interest in sitting on the sofa (he likes a cold floor) but today jumped up on the sofa and has lay with his head on my lap all afternoon. They know don’t they.

Just the best things ever. Helping me a lot.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Dogs are amazing and pick up on our feelings, when I'm ill in bed, which is a lot, she won't leave my side. Bless you and your dog x

And yes they are!!! my little girl dog was put to sleep this morning and the last 10 years of her have been amazing she was an absolute gem and we really didn’t deserve her.

Yes. Your dog loves you. Your dog wants to comfort you. It's brilliant and warming and a such comfort in cold times . Look after yourself too op. I'm so sorry you have to go through this and glad that your dog is there with you x

So sorry to hear your sad news but it really is true, dogs absolutely know when you're emotionally low. I have a huge, old lab cross that I inherited from my late mum. She was always by mum's side when mum was at her low points and shows real concern when anyone is crying. I'm not one to anthropomorphise, it's a pack instinct, but it is so comforting when a much-loved pet is able to show you their love and loyalty.

That's because the dog works out exactly what you need without being told...dogs are better than men at this!

We just don't deserve dogs. They are the absolute best thing in the world.
