Pulled Pork

Boring I know but I want to try and cook pulled pork after having some delicious pork at a party.
I've never tried it, so any tips would be great please.
What is the best cut? Is it better in slow cooker or oven? And how long to cook for?
TIA

I would always use pork shoulder. I am pretty sure I used this recipe last time I did pulled pork ... but don't think I added treacle or Onion marmalade and it was still amazing. When it's ready we have it with a pile of brioche rolls and apple sauce. Yummy 😋

Pork shoulder is the norm I think but I use fillet as I really don't like fat. If you have an Instant Pot (or the like) it can be done in 45 minutes plus 10 minutes resting/depressurising. I cook in passata, herbs, pepper, smoked paprika and a little bit of brown sugar.

Thankyou, I'm planning on coleslaw, apple sauce, baguette type rolls.😋
Wonder if I can soak in cola instead of cider?

It’s delicious. I do it in the slow cooker. We first had “ropa vieja” on holiday in Cuba - literally translates as old clothes/rags! They serve it with rice and beans. Since then we’ve been making it in all its guises and I love them all equally.

Also pulled chicken, which is really quick and easy. You boil the chicken breast and then use a handheld electric whisk to shred it!

We've used this one - crisping it up is an extra step that isn't essential but is delicious carlsbadcravings.com/slow-cooker-pork-carnitas-recipe/

This is lovely if you want it in rolls with apple sauce:

This is also lovely if you want it spicier to have with tacos:

Pork shoulder in the slow cooker. I cook it on low for 12 hours and it is perfect!

So....my pork has been soaked in cider overnight and is in the oven.
I've just had a thought, it's in a net, should I have taken that off before cooking?Confused
