Can Job Centre Work Coaches receive gifts?

I’ve just landed my dream job after some help from the Job Centre, two work coaches helping me sending me the jobs when they came up (not civil service but my old WC had connections to the industry), helping fill in applications, helping me with interviews and cheering me on basically. Job will get me off UC, that I’ve been receiving in some format since leaving my husband 4 years ago. My old work coach still works there but it’s policy to transfer over after a certain point but I’ve still seen her and said hello when I’ve been to see my work coach and when I told my new work coach I’d got this job she called my old one over and both said they wanted to hug me but couldn’t (so hugged each other instead shrug)

I’d like to send a bunch of flowers to each of them but I can’t find anything on the internet over whether its allowed?

Does anyone know if they can?

I'm not sure. I would imagine that a small token gift might be acceptable, but no doubt someone more knowledgeable will be alo g soon to confirm. If not, a really nice message in a card would probably be well received.

Congratulations on your new role by the way. It's nice to hear that the job coaches have been able to support you effectively.

Congratulations on your new job! All gifts have to be declared so flowers are the best option as they can stay on their desk if need be.

Thank you, I don't want to get them into any trouble, they've both been so lovely.
