Qooker and tea

We’ve just had a qooker fitted. I’m still at the slightly frightened by it stage.

But the tea isn’t quite right. I suspect it’s because it’s not freshly drawn water. I’m going to keep the kettle for that important first pot of tea in the morning. (Kettle in a cupboard due to husband and his wanting a clear counter top). He doesn’t get much say in things so I’m willing to make that one concession.

Also I wish I’d got the flexible hose version.

Hello, I find that the first bit of water that comes out of it is not fully boiled. So just let it run for a little bit and the boiling hot water usually follows. Also, we keep a measuring jug next to the tap to put water into it from the tap, and then pour into the mug from the jug. Trying to put water directly into cups/mugs has resulted in some scalds, so we prefer doing it this way. Good luck.
