I found a lump

So not the 29th birthday present I wanted. Was in the shower and felt this large hard lump. I can't be sure but I believe I've had trouble with this before and it was just breast tissue.... But I don't know as the other breast I can't feel the same. I wasn't examining as examined not too long ago, I just felt it when I was in the shower washing. My breasts are tender at the moment as I'm near my period. I will book a gp appointment. Trying not to worry.

It's so normal, could be something, could be nothing. More likely to be nothing but absolutely go get it checked out.

Sorry what I meant is that it's normal to have lumps, so many benign causes but you never know so it's important to get them all checked out.

Hey,
Hope you're ok. That must be super worrying but could also be nothing especially if your period is coming, breast changes like that do occur :) if you're worried definitely check in with your GP lovely. I had a huge lumpy rash appear on my breast and i was seen by a doctor right away! It was so scary but luckily turned out to be fine. Actually since having my son it disappeared and never came back..could have been a hormonal thing I suppose.

Anyway, try not to worry and speak to a doctor when you can! Here if you want to talk x

Definitely see the GP, but very unlikely to be anything serious.
I’ve had a few lumps (late 30s but seem to be prone to lumpy boobs Blush) and each time the process has been very smooth and fast. Each time, my GP examined me, agreed she could feel a lump, reassured me that it’s almost certainly nothing to worry about, but to be safe she referred me to breast clinic.
I got an appointment at the clinic within 2 weeks - in many areas it’s all done in one appointment on the same day, so you get checked by a specialist consultant and, if needed, you may have an ultrasound and possibly further tests.
Mine turned out to be harmless cysts, which are very common. But GPs 100% want to see you if you have any new lumps or breast changes so don’t put off seeing them.

Get it checked. It's probably a cyst or hard tissue but get it checked. Try not to worry.
The breast clinic staff have seen many ladies in your situation.

Age and the fact you’re due your period are on your side.

Don’t worry if you get a hospital appointment in 2 weeks. It’s a standard checking procedure.

Testingprof · 07/10/2021 07:09

Wait until after your period and examine again. If the lump is still there (and not the same lump that was breast tissue) see a GP.

PattiPritell · 07/10/2021 07:17

get it checked whether it comes and goes or not.

sprinkleyumnut · 07/10/2021 22:30

Thanks all I'm going to wait til period has come and gone if still there I will be going to the gp. I'm worried.
