As title, I need a comfy pair of knee high boots that look nice and I've had my eye on these for ages! Are they as good as they look?
I did post in s&b but no takers!

Super boring boots worn by women who are desperate to be the Duchess of Cambridge

freshcarnation · 07/10/2021 07:57

I've worn them for years. Mine are comfy. Go and try some on. I'm horsey so I bought my first pair at a horse show.

I think for the money you pay, you'd expect them to fit. Not to have to watch tutorials on how to get them on, and zip them up, and wear them while the circulation in your legs is cut off. There is is Facebook page full of people posting pics of just their foot in the boot abd comments of "persevere, it will do up, it's really hard to start with" etc.

Madness.

Honestly I think f&f is really naff…

freshcarnation · 07/10/2021 12:12

I've got no problem getting mine on. They are like any riding boot. You have to try them on. If they fit your calf then they are for you. I wouldn't buy them on the internet without trying, but then I wouldn't buy any boots on the Internet.

I went for a pair of ariats in the end - £260 plus they are waterproof!!

I got my Spanish riding boots direct from Spain - cheaper than F&F

I think they look great! Love the heel, very smart. Tempted myself

ImFree2doasiwant · 14/10/2021 20:19

Much better choice OP!

liveforsummer · 14/10/2021 20:37

I'd take the ariats over f&f any day. F&f are just for show the Ariat are practical every day wear that will last years

I did used to live on them when I worked with horses, it didn't even occur to me to look for an everyday pair from them!

Those are lovely! I don't trust myself with beige suede otherwise I'd be tempted to get a pair too. Plus I need to save up for a new pair of Ariat insulated winter riding boots...keep putting it off, but I don't think my current pair are going to last the winter!

Fully waterproof and pretty resilient! Also incredibly comfy... would definitely recommend.
