Kids tv shows in the 90s - help

Hi, having a discussion with DH about kids tv shows we grew up with in the 90s and we're struggling on these - does anyone else remember them or have I made them up?

  1. Rivalry between 2 childrens cricket clubs - one in Yorkshire the other in Lancashire I think. Lots of picnic teas afterwards. Made me believe cricket was quite interesting (I grew up & realised I was wrong!)
  1. Quite a spooky show with a few series. I think set in an antique shop with a secret lift to upstairs in a Egyptian sarcophagus. Kids had to solve mysteries and there weren't many adults in it. Really enjoyed it!
  1. Think this one was a Friday film club one in the broom cupboard but probably made in the 70/80s. I remember a blond hair boy was kidnapped by a woman and was in her house. He escaped when he realised she was drugging him in his tea (drink) so poured into a plant pot when she wasn't looking. Managed to escape. I keep thinking of red double decker buses too.

These are the only ones so far I seem to remember and DH can't do I'm desperate to prove they are real!

Can anyone help identify what these were called?

Thanks all!

Is No 2 Are You Afraid of the Dark? Kids told spooky stories around a campfire. I remember an antique shop, maybe one of the kids' parents owned it?

Was the cricket one called Sloggers?

timtam23 · 05/10/2021 21:27

3 teabag?

frazzledasarock · 05/10/2021 21:29

Was number 3 T-Bag?

I remember number 2) there was a boy and girl lead the girl was called Franny and that is all I remember about that tv show!

frazzledasarock · 05/10/2021 21:41

Oooh just had a Google

Was 2) C.A.B

chocolateoranges33 · 05/10/2021 21:42

Yes - sloggers! Thanks.

It was t-bag as I clean remember that. I'm sure 3 was a film as opposed to series.

2 wasn't afraid of the dark as it was British not from the US.

Although I may introduce DC to both of these as they're good.

Thanks for mentioning Franny for 2. I've done dome digging and found it - C.A.B it was made in the late 80s so maybe I did watch it then although I'd have been very young!

Only got no 3 to go now. Im sure it was a film.

Thanks all!

I think...

Yazoop · 05/10/2021 21:58

I was going to say was the second one Round the Twist, but that was Australian wasn’t it?

Yazoop · 05/10/2021 21:58

Oh sorry just saw you’ve found it!

Poor old T shirt, always being moaned at by T bag.

90s ones I remember, but forget the name of are:

  1. These 2 divorced families remarry and all live in the same house. The older boy ends up fancying his step sister. They also have a talking pet python.
  2. The one about the choir. The vicar looked like Steve Wright. Main characters were called street and Ice. Think James Corden was in it.
  3. This girl who turns into a monster at inconvenient times.
  4. The cartoon about twin boys. The bad one has blue skin.

frazzledasarock · 05/10/2021 22:26

FurForksSake · 05/10/2021 22:27

Floogal · 05/10/2021 22:54

frazzledasarock · 06/10/2021 07:22

LutherRalph1 · 06/10/2021 07:25

mewkins · 06/10/2021 07:30

I thought t-bag too.. some of those TV programmes seemed to be shot in different film so they were clearer (or seemed so at the time!) Does anyone remember one shot in an ice cream parlour. Did it have john barrowman in it? Am I losing my mind?!Grin

Floogal · 06/10/2021 08:13

Thank you Frazzledasarock.

I also remember the DJ kat show on sky 1

MichelleScarn · 06/10/2021 10:28
