Haberdashers Monmouth Girls - any good?

Planning ahead for secondary schools for my 9 year old (year 5 currently). Thinking of habs but keep hearing bad things about welfare of girls not being high priority. I know it was an excellent school but anyone got girls there at the moment?

Hi - I have a daughter there (currently year 10) she has been there since year 4 and I can only say good things. She really struggled during lock down as her best friend moved away and on top of everything else thrown at these kids during the pandemic she was very low. Her head of year and form tutor were absolutely amazing and I felt really kept an eye on her for me as well as arranging the school counselling service for her. She has started year 10 a different girl and I wouldn't want her anywhere else. They take the pastoral care very seriously and have dedicated safeguarding officers including the deputy headmistress and they work tirelessly to ensure the girls know they have support. Do go and view it for yourself. Apart from the pastoral side there is also so much on offer to the girls - my daughter is currently in a rowing session on the Wye!
