I am looking to move to Spelthorne. It seems like you get a lot more house for your money in Ashford or Feltham. However, my experience of these areas is about 20 years out of date. At that point, Feltham in particular was considered very rough.
Has it changed? Are there 'nicer' roads or areas? On paper they look very nice- outstanding schools, good transport, plenty of parks. Why are they still so much cheaper than Sunbury, Shepperton and Staines? What's the catch?
